LIC mega IPO of Rs 21,000 cr booked 30%; policyholders portion fully subscribed

The country's biggest-ever initial public offering (IPO) from Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) was subscribed 12 percent within the first hour of opening of subscription, on the first day of bidding today. The policy holders quota received bids for 2,31,53,280 shares against 2,21,37,492 shares on offer as of 12.28 pm. The mega IPO has been susbcribed 30 percent so far.
