"Join Us or Grow Other Potatoes": Pepsico agrees for settlement with Indian farmers

Pepsico had accused Indian farmers of growing potato varieties that are exclusively used for Lays chips & so had filed lawsuits against the farmers in Gujarat. The company's lawyers are now willing to drop the case if the farmers agreed to their condition of either joining their program or growing other variety of potatoes, that way they are ready to let go the case. The farmers' lawyer has asked for some time.
