Italy up against its worst recession since WWII

Witnessing its deepest recession since World War II and with business confidence going down, coronavirus pandemic gave Italy's economy a huge blow. Business confidence in the eurozone's third largest economy went down to its lowest level in May since official statistics institute ISTAT began the index in March 2005. The country will have a drop in GDP of between nine and 13%, the Bank of Italy has already revealed.
