Several debates were sparked after the government released economic data for the first quarter of the current fiscal year revealing a historic 29.3 percent contraction in the nation's GDP. However, the investors are hopeful of recovery and the same was displayed in SENSEX that remained green despite the negative growth of GDP. The country's manufacturing PMI rose to a six-month high of 52 from 46 in just four months.
