India to be first country to auction SatCom spectrum: TRAI Chairman

The chairman of Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), PD Vaghela, on Tuesday said that India will be the first country in the world to auction spectrum for satellite communications. Noting that the telecom regulator was working on the matter, he added that TRAI will soon come out with ‘some sort of a model’ for the auction of space spectrum.
