A senior HMD global officer says India presents an attractive opportunity as a manufacturing destination for mobile phones with low capita per income, skilled labour force and young consumer base. The company's VP Ajey Mehta says that COVID-19 has accelerated the process of making India a global hub for mobile devices specifically. HMD sells mobile phones under Nokia brand that are locally manufactured.
