India witnessed a major economic slowdown in the year 2019, while it is being estimated that India could have lost Rs 2.8 lakh crore, but it's not the exact amount as it is hard to get an exact number. According to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development’s latest estimate, India’s potential GDP is pegged at seven percent, while forecasts by several agencies show growth humming at 5%.
