15 countries including China, Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand signed the China-led Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership on Sunday. However, the Modi government decided against becoming part of the partnership. The Chinese State media reacted to it an expected way and called the decision a "strategic blunder." Global Times wrote that India will miss the bus to long-term growth by not signing the agreement.
