India's anti-trust regulator is looking into the allegation against Maruti Suzuki of resorting into anti-competitive practices about controlling the dealers about how it discounted the cars. Maruti, owned by Japan's Suzuki Motor Corp is a popular name in India where it commands the majority of the market share. They have been accused of forcing the dealers to limit the discounts offered and harming the consumers as a result.
