Income of one in two people worldwide dropped amid the pandemic, says report

According to a report by US-based polling company Gallup, one in two people worldwide witnessed a decline in their income amid the coronavirus pandemic. The polling firm surveyed 300,000 people across 117 countries and reached the conclusion that nearly 1.6 billion employed people across the world saw a drop in their earnings. Those in the low-income bracket lost their jobs or saw a cut in working hours.
