According to India’s Chief Economic Advisor (CEA), India should increase its participation in global value chains, like the production of iPhone 7 and iPod. The foreign value that is added to exports is normally higher than if the inputs were sourced locally. It creates millions of jobs and is suited for implementation in a labor-intensive economy such as India, where there is a massive potential to become a hub for such jobs.
