Government to amend the Essential Commodity Act for better price realisation for farmers

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced during her press conference that government does amendment in Essential Commodity Act by deregulating it. No stock limit will be applied for food processors. Subsidy given to Tomatoes, Onions & Potatoes (TOP) will be extended to all fruits & vegetables. Government to bring central law for farmers to make them able to sell their produce across the states in the country, said FM.
