Alphabet Incorporation's Google has agreed to pay $3.8 million to settle allegations that women were underpaid. The firm has also been accused of unfairly passing over women and Asians for job openings. According to the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs, over 2,783 women in Google's software engineering group in Mountain View were underpaid at times between 2014 to 2017. Hiring rate differences also came into light.
