German antitrust body probes Amazon over price irregularity

E-retail giant Amazon is being probed by Germany’s antitrust regulator Federal Cartel Office after getting complaints that the e-retail firm was abusing its online market dominance to exert pricing pressure on sellers. The antitrust regulator is “investigating whether and how Amazon influences retailers’ pricing” on its marketplace. However, Amazon has said it ensures that selling partners are pricing their products competitively.
