Morrisons, the UK's fourth-largest supermarket, has agreed to be acquired for £6.3 billion by SoftBank-owned Fortress Investment Group. In a statement, Fortress Managing Partner Joshua A. Pack said the business fully acknowledged “Morrisons' historic heritage and the extremely significant role Morrisons plays for workers, customers, members of the Morrisons Pension Schemes, local communities, partner suppliers, and farmers.”
