Food delivery, driverless car cost Uber $1.1 billion

Uber is trying to build up its food delivery business and the driverless car technology. However, as a result, the ride-hailing giant has lost $1.1 billion in 2019, which is 24% more than the same time last year. Even though Uber brought $4.1 billion in revenue, 37% more than the previous year. However, the Eats business lost $461 million in the quarter before accounting for interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization.
