Flipkart acquires India wholesale business of parent Walmart, launch of Flipkart wholesale next month

India's e-retail giant has acquired the local wholesale business of parent firm Walmart to compete better with Amazon. The firm will now launch a digital marketplace called Flipkart Wholesale next month. Walmart had bought a controlling stake in Flipkart in 2018 for $16 billion. Apart from Amazon, Flipkart is also gearing up to compete with Reliance's JioMart that has got popularity since the calls of the boycott of Chinese goods.
