Disney launches hotstar globally to maximise viewership among South Asian diaspora

Walt Disney to target 40 million South Asians living abroad and it is taking India's largest OTT channel Hotstar to international markets. The app/website has been primarily launched in the US, Canada and the UK markets that comprise over 75% of the ethnic South Asian population. Disney is keen on the optimal pricing of the Hotstar package and offers at $10 a month and thus will be able to gain more subscribers.
