DHFL General Insurance acquired by Flipkart former CEO Sachin Bansal for Rs 100 crore

As per the latest reports, e-retail giant Flipkart CEO Sachin Bansal has acquired DHFL General Insurance from Wadhawan Group Capital (WGC) for around Rs 100 crore. WGC is the parent company of crisis-hit Dewan Housing Finance Limited (DHFL), which has been recently admitted for bankruptcy. This is for the first time that Bansal has stepped into insurance business as well as the financial services industry.
