Delayed railway projects cost overrun of Rs 1.73cr

There were 349 delayed projects and three-fifths of them belong to the railway sector that has caused a cost overrun of Rs 1.73cr approximately. 213 railway projects are being delayed according to the report of Statistics and Programme Implementation ministry for October 2017. Among them, 36 projects have reported time overrun or delay of 12 months to 261 months and 43 reported cost overrun of Rs 58,728.23 crore.
