Continuing her press conference, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced that Operation Greens will be extended from Tomatoes, Onions and Potatoes to all fruits and vegetables. The government announced Rs 500 crore additional fund to extend Operation Green to all fruits, vegetables, along with 50% subsidy on transportation, storage. A central law will be formulated to provide adequate choices to the farmers to sell produce.
