CII says Rs 15 lakh crore stimulus package required for economic revival

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) on Friday said the impact of a prolonged lockdown on the economy is severe. The industry body revised its earlier estimates of Rs 4.5 lakh crore package and said a stimulus package of Rs 15 lakh crore is required to revive the economy. This means the body has raised a requirement of stimulus package which translates into 7.5% of GDP. Ficci has asked for a Rs 10 lakh crore package.
