China's Fosun Tourism to acquire Thomas Cook for $14.3 million

Around a month after the world's oldest travel firm, Thomas Cook collapsed after succumbing to heavy debt, China's Fosun Tourism Group has declared that it will buy the travel firm for $14.3 million. Fosun Tourism is taking this step to expand its presence in the tourism business. The deal includes acquisition of trademarks, domain names, software applications and licenses of the British travel firm and related hotel brands.
