CBIC sacks 22 more officers over corruption and other charges

In the latest crackdown, CBIC compulsorily retired yet another 22 senior officers due to corruption and links with other charges. Similarly, 27 high-ranking Indian Revenue Service officers, including 12 from the Central Board of Direct Taxes were given compulsory retirement after they were named in alleged corruption cases in June. The move comes in line of PM Modi's promise to clean up the tax administration.
