ByteDance moves court against Trump administration's order to ban TikTok

The Chinese parent firm of video-sharing app TikTok, Bytedance has filed a petition in a court against an order from US President Donald Trump's administration to ban TikTok. The order is set to come into force this week unless the court blocks it. ByteDance sought more time from the court in the petition. The firm said it was "facing continual new requests and no clarity on whether its proposed solutions would be accepted."
