According to the Chinese state media, ByteDance, the parent company of TikTok, Hello and Vigo Video may be looking at a loss of nearly $6 billion, owing to the ban on the apps by India. "The company had invested more than $1 billion in the Indian market, and the ban could virtually halt ByteDance's business there. That figure would exceed the potential losses of all the other apps combined," Global Times wrote.
