ByteDance layoffs: TikTok-owner cuts hundreds of jobs in China

ByteDance, the parent company of video app TikTok, has let go of hundreds of employees across multiple departments at the end of 2022. According to the local media report, the Chinese company did so as part of a cost-cutting measure. The job cuts represent a small percentage of ByteDance's workforce, the report added.
