FM proposes raising marriageable age of Women from 18, says Beti Bachao Beti Padhao a huge success

The Finance Minister during her address highlighted the achievements of the government under its women-centric plans. She called Beti Bachao Beti Padhao a huge success and said the gross enrollment of girls is 94.32% in elementary levels, 81.32% in secondary level and 59.7% at higher secondary level. Sitharaman announced that Rs 28,600 crore will be allocated in FY 21 by government for women-linked programmes.
