El Salvador has become the first country in the world to adopt Bitcoin as a legal tender. Ahead of the "brave" move, the country bought 400 bitcoins with a market value of about $20 million. President Nayib Bukele said on Twitter that the country plans to buy "a lot more" of them. "I'm glad to see this experiment happen overall, and I think we'll learn a lot from it," said Garrick Hileman, head of research for Blockchain.com.
