Assam losing Rs 1,000 crore daily during lockdown: Sarbananda Sonowal

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Friday said that the state has been losing around Rs 1,000 crore every day because of the COVID-19 induced lockdown. Sonowal said this while quoting a survey by the Confederation of Indian Industry. He added that the migrant workers returning to Assam will be trained to develop their skills and absorbed in the state. The CM also lauded Rs 20 lakh crore special financial package by centre.
