Apple to pay up to $500 million to settle ‘slow iPhone’ lawsuit

Another million dollar lawsuit has hit Apple and the tech giant has agreed to pay up to 500 million dollars to settle the lawsuit over the claim of intentional slowdown of older iPhones to preserve older batteries. It has called apple to pay $25 per iPhone and the final amount will depend on how many iPhones are eligible. Consumers have said that they could just buy new batteries and not new phones, if they knew about it.
