Rakesh Jhunjhunwala-backed airline Akasa has appointed Ankur Goel, the ex-head of treasury for IndiGo, as its chief financial officer. Jhunjhunwala plans to launch the airline with former Jet Airways CEO Vinay Dube. Former IndiGo president Aditya Ghosh will assist the operations of the airline. Akasa is negotiating with Boeing to get 100 737 Max jets for its fleet. The airline is expected to start operations by the summer of 2022.
