Amazon.com pumps $308.02 million in Indian unit

Amazon Seller Services, an Indian unit of the e-retail giant has bagged a fresh funding worth 23.10 billion rupees ($308.02 million), from parent firm Amazon.com Incorporation. Amazon has approved the funding amid the increase in online sales due to the shutdown of markets amid the lockdown. Amazon Seller Services is on a spree to hire 50,000 temporary workers to meet a surge in online shopping in the country.
