Amazon is delaying this year’s Prime Day event for at least a month. The decision comes in response to the coronavirus crisis and will postpone the event until August. The summer shopping sale usually starts in mid-July, but delaying Prime Day will surely result in a massive profit loss. Amazon believes this decision will cost $100 million since an extra five million devices will have to be sold at discounted prices.
