E-retail and tech giant Amazon has fired a number of employees after they shared customer email address and phone numbers with a third-party. The company sent an email to customers in which it said that an employee has been fired for sharing the data and that the company is supporting law enforcement in their prosecution. “No other information related to your account was shared,” the email read to customers.
