As we get busy in Diwali festivities, no celebration can be complete without marigold (genda) and rose (gulab) flowers. Not only decoration, marigold and rose are also used in Puja rituals and traders in Meerut are estimating that marigold worth a record Rs 2 crore will be sold during the festivities. The major market in Meerut sees more than 400 stalls selling flowers for puja for the last couple of days.
