70% increase in trade between India and China in 5 months of 2021

Even as China continues to increase its troop buildup across the Line of Actual Control, the latest data from Chinese customs reveals that the trade between the two countries surged 70% to at least $48 billion in the first five months of 2021. This is nearly 15% more than Indian data that showed the trade between the two countries grew at 55.83%. As per the data, Chinese exports to India grew 64.1% from January to May.
