6.9% fall in arms sales of top Indian firms: Sipri report

According to the latest data released by a leading Stockholm-based think-tank that tracks the weapons industry, the combined sales of three Indian companies dropped by 6.9% compared to the previous year. Indian companies sold weapons worth $5.9 billion in 2018. Lesser number of orders from the Indian forces stood as the main reason behind the decline in sales. The companies include HAL, Indian Ordnance Factories and BEL.
