50 executives sacked from Walmart's real estate division in India

Walmart Inc, the world's largest retailer, has fired around 50 of its India executives as part of its restructuring in the country. The sacking of employees came as Walmart is struggling to expand its wholesale business in India. Walmart currently operates 28 wholesale stores where it sells goods to small shopkeepers, and not to retail consumers. The company is now focussing on shifting to e-commerce rather than physical.
