Ricardo Salinas Pliego, Mexico's third-richest man, wants to integrate Bitcoin into the financial system. Mexico's Finance Minister, the Central Bank of Mexico, and the Securities Commission published a four-page joint statement a day after announcing his desire to integrate Bitcoin into the financial system. They emphasised that cryptocurrencies are not "legal" cash and do not come within the present legal framework in the country.
