Waymo’s external funding round extended to $3 billion

Waymo is the self-driving unit of Google’s parent entity Alphabet. Tuesday, Waymo has announced that it has raised an additional $750 million in its first round of external investment and with that the total funding has reached $3 billion. Waymo is considered to be a leader in the self-driving technology segment. The outsider investors will help Waymo to be more disciplined to build large scale business around its tech.
