Volkswagen will stop making natural gas-fuelled cars as the elite German automaker now focuses more on electric engines to impress climate-conscious drivers. The VW group has sold only 110,000 cars with compressed natural gas (CNG) worldwide last year. The 12-brand strong VW group, which has Porsche, Seat, Skoda and Audi in its repertoire, has set a goal of selling 32 million electric and hybrid vehicles by 2029.
