Ride-hailing company Uber has permanently shut its Mumbai office, as cost-cutting continues unabated amid the Covid-19 pandemic. Uber’s Mumbai employees are said to be continuing working from home, at least till December. It is not known whether they will be moved to another office in the city next year. In May, Uber had laid off 600 employees in India across departments such as customer and driver support.
