TVS Motor acquires Britain-based Norton Motorcycles

Indian two-wheeler manufacturer TVS Motors announced late last night that it has completed the acquisition of Norton Motorcycles -- a celebrated British bike brand. TVS said the acquisition, which will be completed via one of its foreign subsidiaries, will serve to demonstrate both TVS and India’s growth in the global two-wheeler arena. Norton motorcycles was founded by James Lansdowne Norton in 1898.
