Rolls-Royce likely to cut up to 15% of its workforce

Aero-engine maker Rolls-Royce Holdings is set to cut up to 15% of its workforce as customers cut production and airlines have parked planes due to the coronavirus pandemic. The size of layoffs has already been mentioned internally by senior management. Earlier it was reported that Rolls-Royce is readying up a plan to lay off up to 8,000 of its 52,000-strong workforce. Final announcement is expected by the end of May.
