Renault sees 15,000 job cuts in major restructuring

Renault has decided to cut 15,000 jobs worldwide for a mega cost-cutting plan after sales plunged in the wake of the novel coronavirus pandemic. Interim boss Clotilde Delbos announced the cuts in production to focus more on profitable car models. Near about 4,600 job cuts will be in France, while the carmaker continues its talks with unions. Renault's strategic partner Nissan has already unveiled huge job cuts.
