Nissan to cut 12,500 jobs globally, 1,710 in India

Nissan will reduce its production capacity and model range scrapping 12,500 jobs across the world to turn its fortune around. The Japanese carmaker's India operations will see 13.68% of the mass sacking – over 1,710 – as per the data released by the company. These job redundancies in India and seven other markets will be in effect in 2019. However, there is no information yet about which levels will face the axe.
