Nissan Motor Company appoints Makoto Uchida as new CEO & Ashwani Gupta as new COO

The Japanese carmaker Nissan Motor company appoints Makoto Uchida as new CEO and Ashwani Gupta as new COO. Uchida was serving as a senior VP in the company as well as President of Dongfeng Motor company. Gupta was serving as COO at Mitsubishi Motors. Senior VP of Nissan Jen Seki has been appointed as a vice-chief operating officer and will report to Gupta. Both Uchida & Gupta will be taking their positions from Jan 1, 2020.
