Mercedes-Benz has put off its first electric vehicle’s US debut by a year and it shows how difficult the time is for automakers for replicating Tesla Inc.’s success. The luxury brand will kick start sales of the EQC crossover in 2021 instead of early next year. The German carmaker said it’s a strategic decision to first support growing demand for the model in Europe, where deliveries have started earlier this year.
