Maruti Suzuki dealers were penalised for offering additional discounts: Report

India's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki has been under the scanner of the Competition Commission of India following a complaint from one of the dealers. The dealer alleged that the company prevented its dealers from giving extra discounts to customers. The CCI has now completed its investigation and a report suggests that the carmaker went to the extent of penalising the dealers who offered additional discounts.
